Quick Choc Beetroot Brownies

This Chocolate Beetroot Brownie recipe is another delicious use for this root veggie! Believe it or not, beetroot adds a depth of flavour and a fudgy texture. Don't worry, the beet flavour won't overpower the delicious chocolatey flavour! These brownies are incredibly moist and chocolatey. Your kids would never know that they're loaded up with beets! Ingredients

1 Box Natvia Chocolate Brownie Mix

1 Egg

60 mls Water

90 mls Sunflower Oil

1 Beetroot, peeled and grated

100 g Walnuts, roughly chopped

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 160ºC (fan forced) and line a 20cm x 20cm square brownie tin with baking paper.
  2. In a large bowl, add the Natvia Chocolate Brownie Mix, egg, water and oil. Mix until well combined.
  3. Fold through the beetroot and walnuts until evenly distributed.
  4. Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin and bake for 25 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the tin before slicing.
