Apple Cinnamon and Cardamom Cake

120 g unsalted butter, plus a little extra.
140 g Natvia (¾ cup )
85 g milk (2/3 cup)
225 g self-raising cake flour (2 cups )
1 tablespoon cinnamon
0.5 tablespoon cardamom
1 apple, cored ¼ diced, ¼ sliced
- Preheat oven to 175C
- Beat the butter and Natvia until light and creamy. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
- Pour in the milk and flour in batches, beating briefly in between each addition.
- Add the cinnamon and cardamom.
- Pour ½ the batter into a greased and line 20cm cake tin. Sprinkle evenly with diced apple. Top with remaining batter. Smooth the top. Place the sliced of apple on top. Brush with melted butter. Bake the cake for 25-30 minutes. Remove from the oven. Enjoy warm with cream
