Hot Fudge Sundae

Who would have thought you would be able to indulge in a classic Hot Fudge Sundae sugar-free? Well, we've done it with this recipe plus added some extra elements to make this sugar-free treat even better. This dessert treat is perfect for this time of year. While the temperature continues to drop and we move into the middle of winter this dish provides the perfect warm winter treat! We've combined the rich chocolatey flavour we all expect from a Hot Fudge Sundae with the total nuttiness of peanuts, pecans, AND coconut! This dish is great to share and can stay refrigerated for up to a couple of days. That being said, this Hot Fudge Sundae it best served fresh from the oven when the aromatic flavours of cacao fill the kitchen. Serves 10

Ingredients

1 cup Self Raising flour

1 cup Cacao Powder

0.5 cup Natvia

60 g Salted Butter, melted

1 Egg

0.5 cup Milk

0.25 cup Peanuts, salted

0.25 cup Pecans

0.25 cup Shredded Coconut

0 Whipped cream, to serve

0.25 cup Cacao powder

1 cup Boiling Water

1 cup Coconut Cream

Method

  1. Grease a large baking dish.
  2. Sift the flour and cacao powder into a bowl and then add the Natvia.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, melted butter and milk.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and fold with a spatula until combined.
  5. Spread evenly into the baking tray and then sprinkle over cacao powder. Pour over 1 cup coconut cream and 1 cup boiling water.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the top is firm to the touch.
  7. Serve with the nuts and coconut sprinkled over the top and some whipped cream.
