How to Keep Healthy Habits

If you have been on an exercise streak or following a program this year you’ve accomplished so much going through the journey. Keeping good habits is just as important as building them and making them part of your life will reward you even further beyond any program. Here’s some quick tips on how to keep your good habits stay with you (and keep the nasty ones away!)

1. Ask Why. Why do you get into the program in the first place? What motivated you to do it? What do you want? Let them be the reminder that keep you going and become something that you strive for in life.

2. Make Small Tasks. Having a big goal will scare almost anyone. Take what you want to achieve and break it down into smaller tasks. Week by week and day by day.

3.Repeat. Take what you learn from your program and do it again. Schedule your favourite meals into your week and follow the exercise routine after the program ends.

4. Do Whatever You Want. It’s your life and by the end of the day you don’t want to feel that you are being pressured. It can be counter productive and put you off altogether. If it feels too much, reduce your routine or change it into something that you like better.

5. Reward Yourself. You have been doing great and sometimes what you need is just a pat on the back. Be a nice person to yourself and appreciate how far you have come! 🙂
