Treat your skin with these four kitchen ingredients

What do all these ingredients have in common? They can keep you  healthy on the inside AND healthy on the outside! Find out how what you have in the pantry could help your skin as well.

1. Coconut oil
It’s not just the new super ingredient on the block, it’s also fantastic for your skin! The fatty acids in coconut oil are a natural moisturiser. And you can also use it as an all-natural eye makeup remover – just pour some onto a cotton ball, and wipe across your eyes. It’ll even remove waterproof mascara! Plus, you’ll smell like a tropical holiday.

2. Cocoa butter
Cocoa butter is well known for its deep moisturising qualities. Grab some raw, organic cocoa butter and apply it to your skin after a shower or bath to really help lock in moisture. It can also been used to reduce the appearance of scars or stretch marks – although probably won’t get rid of them altogether.

3. Honey
Honey has heaps of sweet skincare benefits. It’s great for purifying skin as a face mask, and will hydrate as well. Plus, its antibacterial properties mean that it can help clear acne-prone skin. 4. Avocado
Another marvellous moisturiser, the humble avo is good for much more than smashing on toast (although we love that too). Use avocado on your body and face to hydrate and soften. It’s antioxidant-rich, and so can also help reduce wrinkles and other signs of aging. And if it’s good enough for Kim Kardashian and Victoria Beckham, it’s good enough for me!
