Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup (200g) caster sugar
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Fresh fruit of choice

Recipe Method

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 150°C (300°F). Line a baking tray.
  2. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
  3. Add caster sugar gradually and beat until stiff, glossy peaks.
  4. Fold in vinegar, cornstarch, vanilla.
  5. Shape onto tray and bake for 1 hour.
  6. Turn off oven and allow pavlova to cool inside for at least 1 hour.
  7. Top with cream and fruit before serving.

Serves: 6–8

Cook Time: 1 hour

Cooling Time: 1 hour (in the oven)
