Gut Luxe Mont Blanc

Gut Luxe Mont Blanc

The Gut Luxe Mont Blanc is cold brew dressed up for the occasion. A homemade orange citrus syrup made with Natvia Gut Activation Sweetener goes through the coffee first, bright and fragrant from the zest, then a cloud of lightly whipped cream floats over the top with a dusting of nutmeg. Bitter, citrusy and creamy all in one glass.

Prep Time: 10

Cook Time: 0

Servings: 1

Ingredients:

Citrus Syrup

  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1 tbsp Natvia Gut Activation Sweetener
  • 1 tsp warm water

Cold Brew Base

  • 100 ml (⅓ cup) cold brew coffee
  • 1–2 tsp Natvia Gut Activation Sweetener, to taste

Aerated Cream

  • 60 ml (¼ cup) plant-based whipping cream (oat, coconut or lactose-free dairy)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract or orange blossom water (optional)
  • Pinch of grated nutmeg

To Garnish

  • Freshly grated orange zest
  • Pinch of nutmeg

Methods:

  1. In a small bowl, combine orange zest and Natvia Gut Activation Sweetener. Press the zest into the sweetener using a spoon to release the oils. Add warm water, stir to form a syrup and let sit for 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Stir the cold brew with the citrus syrup and remaining Natvia Gut Activation Sweetener until combined. Pour over ice into a chilled glass.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk the plant-based cream with vanilla extract or orange blossom water and a pinch of nutmeg until thick but still pourable, like softly whipped cream.
  4. Gently pour or spoon the cream over the back of a spoon to float it on top of the cold brew.
  5. Finish with freshly grated orange zest and a sprinkle of nutmeg. Serve immediately.
