Iced Hojicha Latte

If you have not tried hojicha yet, here is your reason to start. Made from roasted green tea leaves, it has a naturally smoky, caramel-like flavour that is warm and mellow without being heavy. It also happens to make a seriously good iced latte.

Lower in caffeine than matcha, hojicha is a great pick when you want something satisfying and cosy without the jitters. Simple to make and ready in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients:

  1. 1-2 tsp of Hojicha powder sifted
  2. 1 tsp of Natvia Gut Activation Sweetener (adjust to taste)
  3. 40 ml hot water
  4. 160ml milk of choice
  5. Ice

Method:

  1. Sift 1-2 tsp of Hojicha into a bowl
  2. Pour in 40ml of hot water and whisk until foamy
  3. Add in 1tsp of Gut Activation Sweetener
  4. Continue whisking for another 10 seconds
  5. Put ice in a tall glass and fill it with you milk of choice
  6. Pour over the Hojicha mixture
