Orange Espresso Tonic

The Orange Espresso Tonic is bitter, fizzy and a little unexpected in the best way. Fresh orange juice and Natvia Gut Activation Sweetener go in first, then tonic, then an espresso shot poured slowly over the top so it layers. It settles into something bright and complex once it starts to bleed together. Rosemary on top finishes it off.

Ingredients:

  1. 60 ml (¼ cup) fresh orange juice
  2. 120 ml (½ cup) tonic water
  3. 40 ml (2 shots) espresso
  4. 1 tsp Natvia Gut Activation Sweetener (AU) / Natvia Synbiotic Sweetener (UK)
  5. 1 thin half-slice of orange
  6. 1 sprig fresh rosemary (optional)
  7. Ice, to serve

Methods:

  1. Cut the orange into thin slices. Set aside.
  2. Add Natvia Gut Activation Sweetener (AU) / Natvia Synbiotic Sweetener (UK) to a glass and pull a shot of espresso directly over it. Stir to combine.
  3. Fill a glass with ice and pour the orange juice over.
  4. Add the tonic water.
  5. Gently pour the espresso mixture over to create a layered effect.
  6. Place a thin half-slice of orange on top.
  7. Finish with a sprig of rosemary and serve immediately.
