Ingredients

For the crumble
  • 150g oat flour
  • 50g ground almonds
  • 50g Natvia natural sweetener
  • 4 tablespoons almond butter
  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil, solid
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons almond milk
The apple layer
  • 3-4 apples, peeled, cored and chopped
  • 4 tablespoons Natvia natural sweetener
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C and grease and line a 20cm loose-bottomed cake tin.
  2. First cook the apples in 3 tablespoons water for 10-15 minutes until softened then stir in the Natvia and cinnamon. Leave to cool.
  3. Now mix together all of the ingredients apart from the almond milk for the crumble together in a bowl, rubbing in the solid coconut oil to create a crumble mixture.
  4. Place ⅓ of the mixture into a separate bowl then add the milk into the remaining ⅔. Press this into the tin to cover the base.
  5. Mash the cooled apples up roughly then spread this in an even layer over the base.
  6. Sprinkle over the remaining oat mixture to cover the apples and press down. Bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Leave to cool completely then slice up, remove from the tin and serve.
