Baklava Slice

Ingredients
BASE:
90 g Cream Cheese, softened
125 g Butter, softened
40 g Almond Meal
40 g Coconut Flour
40 g Flaxseed Meal
FILLING:
50 g Walnuts
50 g Pistachios
0.75 teaspoon Cinnamon
SYRUP:
125 g Distilled Water
47 g Natvia
Xantham gum, pinch
1 teaspoon Rosewater
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180C.
- Make the syrup by combining all of the ingredients except the rosewater in a small pot and bring to the boil. Turn off heat and leave to cool. Once cooled stir through the rosewater.
- Line a slice tray 20cm by 20cm with baking paper.
- Combine the ingredients for the base and press into the prepared tray. Bake for 15 minutes.
- Top with the chopped nuts and cinnamon and return to the oven for a further 10 minutes until golden (be careful the nut will burn very quickly.
- Once cooked remove from the oven and let cool before drizzling with some of the prepared syrup
