Butter Pound Cake with Vanilla Frosting

A traditional butter pound cake is always a great choice, this recipe is really simple and it doesn’t require many ingredients. To accompany the cake we are going to make a delicious and soft vanilla frosting. 2 cup self-rising flour, sifted

1 cup butter, room temperature

1 cup Natvia 100% Natural Sweetener

1 cup milk

3 eggs, large

1 cup butter, room temperature

2 cup Natvia Icing Mix

2 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Preheat the oven to 180º C.
  2. Cream your butter and Natvia together, it doesn’t matter if you do it with an electric mixer or by hand but mix them until light and fluffy.
  3. Add your eggs and keep whisking.
  4. Finally incorporate your sifted flour and milk, alternating between them in two batches.
  5. Pour the batter in a loaf pan and bake it for 25 minutes or until you are able to insert a toothpick in the middle of the cake and this comes out clean.
  6. When ready, remove from the pan and let it cool down completely.
  7. Whisk together the room temperature butter and vanilla extract.
  8. When combined start adding Natvia Icing Mix, 1 tbsp at a time.
  9. Mix until all combined.
  10. Take your pound cake and cut 10 – 12 pieces.
  11. Add around 2 tbsp of frosting on each piece, just like a toast, spread it carefully.
  12. Optional: drizzle some honey on top of the frosting for extra flavour. (if you are diabetic please avoid honey or other sugar toppings)
