Start your day with a bowl of warm, comforting goodness! These Apple Custard Crumble Baked Oats combine soft, spiced apples with a creamy custard layer and a lightly crunchy oat topping. Naturally sweetened, nutrient-packed, and easy to make, they’re the perfect breakfast to bring a little joy to your morning.

Ingredients

Oat mixture:

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 1–2 tbsp Natvia 100% Natural Sweetener (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • ½ cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 apple, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Custard layer:

  • 3 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp custard powder
  • 1–2 tsp Natvia
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract

Optional toppings: nuts, seeds, honey, or maple syrup


Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and lightly grease a small ovenproof dish.
  2. In a bowl, combine oats, Natvia, flour, cinnamon, flaxseed, milk, apples, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  3. Spoon half of the oat mixture into the base of the ovenproof dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix Greek yogurt, custard powder, Natvia, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Spread the custard mixture evenly over the oats in the dish.
  6. Top with the remaining oat mixture, pressing down gently.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden on top and the custard is set.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving. Add optional toppings if desired.
