CHOCOLATE CAKE

Ingredients

3 eggs 1/2 cup butter softened 1 cup milk of choice 2 tsp vanilla essence 1 cup Natvia 1/2 cup cocoa powder 2 cups flour 1 tsp salt 3 tsp baking powder

Icing

1 cup Natvia Icing 2 tbsp cocoa 40g butter 1 tbsp milk 2 tbsp hot water

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180C and grease a round cake pan.
  2. Beat Natvia and butter into creamy mixture, add vanila, and the eggs one at a time.
  3. Sift all the dry ingredients together.
  4. Add half of the sifted dry ingredients with half of the milk.
  5. Repeat with the other half and mix until well combined
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until skewer comes out clean.
  7. Allow to rest until cool to touch.
  8. Mix all icing ingredients and beat until smooth.
  9. When the cake has cooled, put icing on top, and dress with icing or chocolate shavings.
