Spice Porridge

This Warming Spice Porridge is a perfect way to start your day. The combination of sweet and tart fruits, along with the warmth of spices, creates a comforting and delicious breakfast. This recipe is easy to make and can be customized to your liking.

Ingredients

  • 50g oats 🌾
  • 300ml oat milk 🥛
  • 2 tablespoons Natvia 100% Natural Sweetener 🌱
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spice 🍂
  • 20g mixed raisins and cranberries 🍒
  • Zest of 1/2 orange 🍊
  • 1 apple, diced 🍎
  • 1 pear, diced 🍐
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil 🥥
  • Large pinch of cinnamon 🍂
  • Walnuts and hazelnuts, to garnish (optional) 🌰

Method

  1. Place the oats, oat milk, Natvia, spice, dried fruit, and orange zest in a pan and simmer for 4-5 minutes until thick and creamy. 🥣
  2. Meanwhile, heat the coconut oil in a non-stick pan and add the fruit, cinnamon, and Natvia. Cook on a medium-high heat for 5-8 minutes, stirring regularly, until caramelized. 🍎🍐
  3. Pour the porridge into a bowl, then top with some of the spiced fruit. Scatter with walnuts and hazelnuts, if desired. Enjoy! 🌰
