
Spice Porridge
Intro
This Warming Spice Porridge is a perfect way to start your day. The combination of sweet and tart fruits, along with the warmth of spices, creates a comforting and delicious breakfast. This recipe is easy to make and can be customized to your liking.
Ingredients
- 50g oats 🌾
- 300ml oat milk 🥛
- 2 tablespoons Natvia 100% Natural Sweetener 🌱
- 1 teaspoon mixed spice 🍂
- 20g mixed raisins and cranberries 🍒
- Zest of 1/2 orange 🍊
- 1 apple, diced 🍎
- 1 pear, diced 🍐
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil 🥥
- Large pinch of cinnamon 🍂
- Walnuts and hazelnuts, to garnish (optional) 🌰
Method
- Place the oats, oat milk, Natvia, spice, dried fruit, and orange zest in a pan and simmer for 4-5 minutes until thick and creamy. 🥣
- Meanwhile, heat the coconut oil in a non-stick pan and add the fruit, cinnamon, and Natvia. Cook on a medium-high heat for 5-8 minutes, stirring regularly, until caramelized. 🍎🍐
- Pour the porridge into a bowl, then top with some of the spiced fruit. Scatter with walnuts and hazelnuts, if desired. Enjoy! 🌰
