Strawberry Scones

Ingredients

  • 3 cups/450g/16 oz plain flour
  • 4 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Natvia
  • 1/4 cup/60g/2 oz butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 1/4 cup/310ml/10.3 oz milk of choice
  • 1 cup/125g/4.2 oz strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tbsp/40g/1.3 oz butter, melted
Serves 12 scones

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C and line a sheet pan with baking paper.
  2. Place the flour, baking powder, salt, and Natvia in a bowl and mix together.
  3. Add the cubed butter and run in using fingertips until pea size pieces of butter form.
  4. Add the milk and strawberries and mix just until combined.
  5. Roll out into a circle and cut into 12 triangles.
  6. Place onto sheet pan and brush with melted butter.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and baked through.
  8. Serve at room temperature or warm. Can be stored for up to 3 days in an air tight container.
